Faith in Action: Our Youth and Families Serve at Harvesters

On April 4, our church family stepped out into the community to be the “hands and feet of Christ.” A dedicated group of 21 volunteers from the Youth and Young Families Fellowship, led by Rev. Varughese John, spent the afternoon serving at Harvesters—The Community Food Network in Kansas City. A Community Effort From our youngest members (including 6 enthusiastic minors) to our young families, the warehouse was filled with energy and a shared sense of purpose. Together, we sorted and repacked: The Lenten Spirit Participating in this outreach during Lent provided a powerful moment of reflection. As we bagged produce, we were reminded of the words in Mark 10:45: “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” The Impact Beyond the pounds of food processed, the day was a beautiful testament to our fellowship. Working side-by-side allowed us to deepen our compassion for our neighbors and strengthen our bonds with one another. We are so grateful to everyone who lent a hand. Let’s carry this spirit of service forward as we continue our journey toward Easter! https://photos.app.goo.gl/rh1EjX3L11QSeLb88
